Blizzard Time - And Not From Dairy Queen!

Today we got a great surprise from Mother Nature.  No, it wasn't the 70 degree weather of Friday, but -20 wind chills and blizzard-like weather all day.  Wyatt wanted to go play outside all day today and didn't quite get the fact that snow blowing sideways isn't much fun to be in.  I am pretty sure that most of our snow has ended up in Oklahoma but I know they need the moisture too so enjoy it down there!  We spent the day inside, playing basketball, trains, coloring, etc.  We even ran laps in the house just to burn off some energy!  Wyatt and I made a zucchini cake as I have been cleaning out the freezer and found some zucchini from the garden last Summer.  And, might I add, it was yummy.  He is going to be a good cook one day and it was funny when we were getting ready to put the cake in the oven and he bent over the pan as if to talk to it and said "Bless this cake"!  So funny and way cute.  We also enjoyed watching the birds eat out of our bird feeder in the back yard all day.  It was amazing how they were out and about in this horrible weather.  We now have three cardinals that come into the yard and Wyatt can identify them from the red color.  Beautiful birds and even more pretty with the white snow all around.  Tomorrow we are hoping for some better weather and maybe a little warmer on the temperature front so we can go out and play for a minute or two.  We had a blizzard but not the kind I like!  Mmmmmmm, Snickers and ice cream mixed together.  Yummmmmmmo.
